An aspherical lens, unusual in a super telephoto lens, works in synergy with UD and fluorite elements to deliver incredible detail and a reduction in chromatic aberration and ghosting and flare effects. A 9-blade aperture allows for perfect rendition of highlights and out-of-focus areas, while a minimum focusing distance of 1.8 m allows for the capture of close details at any focal length. The lens is capable of operating in any conditions, thanks to its advanced outdoor resistance, shock resistance and white heat-insulating paint. You can also increase the range of the lens to 200-600mm f/5.6 with the 2x RF extender, or to 140-420mm f/4 with the 1.4x RF extender without sacrificing focusing speed or durability.
