The microphone exhibits a supercardioid polar pattern at low to midrange frequencies and transitions to a lobar pattern in high frequencies, providing uniform attenuation of 10 to 20 dB from 125 Hz to 1 kHz between 90° and 120° off axis. The rejection pattern for high frequencies is also consistent, further contributing to the mic’s transparent, undistorted off-axis tone. Your dialogue, foley, and sound effects can be recorded with full dynamics and clarity, thanks to the MKH 8060’s wide frequency response, transformerless output, and high SPL handling.
