Canon EOS R1
Canon EOS R1
Canon’s EOS R1 full-frame mirrorless camera features a new image processing system, consisting of two processors, the innovative DIGIC Accelerator, the existing DIGIC X and a new CMOS sensor. By combining the new image processing system with deep learning technology, Canon has achieved the highest level of accuracy and speed in subject recognition. For example, during team sporting events where multiple athletes cross paths, the enhanced subject tracking accuracy allows the target to be tracked continuously even if another subject stands between it and the lens. In addition, the ‘Action Priority’ AF function recognises subject movement and quickly analyses the subject’s status. In the most frantic and unpredictable moments, this function automatically identifies the player performing a certain action, such as hitting the ball, as the main subject and immediately moves the AF area, helping to capture the decisive moments of the game. Deep learning technology and cross-type AF identify and track the subject with exceptional accuracy. The next-generation Eye Control function allows AF areas to be selected simply by looking at the subject, while the DIGIC Accelerator processor supports the Action Priority mode to automatically determine the main subject in football, volleyball and basketball, moving the AF areas accordingly.
